Business and Tech Leader Mark Wallace Elected to Illinois Tech Board of Trustees

Tech industry innovator Mark A. Wallace brings 35 years of insight and experience from Keysight, HP, and Agilent to Illinois Institute of Technology

CHICAGO—October 25, 2023—Mark A. Wallace (EE ’88), accomplished leader in the tech industry and senior vice president for global sales and chief customer officer at Keysight Technologies, has been elected to the Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech) Board of Trustees.

“Being chosen to serve on the Board of Trustees of my alma mater is a great honor to help ensure that the university continues its tradition of innovation and excellence,” said Wallace. “I’m excited to bring my experience to further the cause and mission of Illinois Tech.”

Wallace’s illustrious career in the business and tech industries spans 35 years, honing his expertise in sales, marketing, and channel management. In his current role at Keysight Technologies, Wallace oversees sales operations, channel partnerships, and solution engineering. Instrumental in bolstering Keysight’s focus on customer excellence, Wallace works to optimize the entire user experience, streamline the introduction of cutting-edge solutions to a global clientele, and broaden the company’s outreach across different sectors and ecosystems.

Prior to his current role, Wallace served as vice president and general manager of the Americas field operations for Agilent and Keysight between 2011 and 2016. Before that, he held the position of Agilent’s national sales manager for testing and measurement across parts of North America. His career began at Hewlett Packard (HP) in 1985, starting as an intern and subsequently ascending through the ranks to hold key positions in global business development and field engineering.

Galvin (LAW ’78), chair of the Board of Trustees. “His decades-long experience with industry giants and his profound understanding of the tech world will be crucial in guiding the university’s trajectory while fostering growth.”

Wallace completed his executive studies at the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Armour College of Engineering Board of Advisors at Illinois Tech.
