Leadership for Tech Focused Organizations

Faculty: George Langlois and Joseph Orgel

Format: Personalized

Structure: Custom configured

At Illinois Tech we have developed a new system for training and developing based on mentorship, data driven decision making, and creativity. Our program, Leadership for Tech Focused Organizations, was designed to build the capabilities required of leaders in our digital age.

Generic leadership education cannot achieve these objectives. All of our programs are customized: we have a portfolio of experiences, a modular curriculum, assessment tools, and knowledge that can be assembled into a learning experience that meets your needs and the high learning outcome standards of our university.

There are two ways to be involved:

  • Join a cohort: starting in January of 2021, we will construct cohorts of like-minded individuals who share similar or complementary contexts and goals. No cohort will include colleagues from competing organizations. We will work with interested individuals to help place you into a cohort that meets your interest and timing.
  • Custom configuration for your organization: we will work with you or your organization to select experiences and curricular elements to build a program that meets your objectives and timelines. It does not matter if it is two or 200 people; we can work with you to craft the appropriate configuration.

Every experience will be different, but the program commitment is usually around 4 hours per week for seven weeks. The program will also include a mix of live (in-person and online) and self-paced content. You will also join our Tech: Leadership community with ongoing access to leadership resources, content, and collaboration opportunities. Please contact us for more details at (OPCE@iit.edu).
