IMPORTANT NOTICE: Discontinuation of the RAVE Guardian Application
As of June 30, 2026, the RAVE Guardian mobile application will be discontinued. Emergency alerts will continue to be delivered via email, text message, and phone call.
All members of the Illinois Tech community are strongly encouraged to opt in to receive emergency alert text messages to ensure timely notifications.

Public Safety can still be reached by phone at 312.808.6363. Additional safety and support resources are still available through the Illinois Tech Portal.
Illinois Institute of Technology uses RAVE technology to keep our campus community informed during emergencies.
All individuals with an Illinois Tech email address (iit.edu) will automatically receive emergency email notifications, commonly referred to as IIT Alerts. Faculty, staff, and students can also opt-in to receive alerts via text, phone calls, and push notifications through the RAVE Guardian app.
Additionally, partners, friends, and other members of the Illinois Tech community are encouraged to enroll to receive text and call alerts.

RAVE – Guardian App
In conjunction with IIT Alerts, faculty, staff, and students can download the RAVE Guardian app. This mobile application allows users to receive alerts via push notifications, communicate directly with Public Safety, share their location with loved ones, and access essential Illinois Tech resources—all at their fingertips.
The app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
