Opportunities to Study in Chicago
Illinois Tech Mumbai students can study on the Chicago campus in one of the following two ways: either as a visiting student conducting a semester abroad, or as a transfer student.
Semester Abroad (Visiting Student Options)
Students from the Mumbai campus who are not in their final year can study one to two semesters at the Chicago campus. This option is available for both undergraduate and graduate courses, subject to availability, academic performance, and internal review. Students pay the Mumbai campus tuition and fees during this period, with credits applying seamlessly to their degree. Additional Chicago onsite costs (housing, meals, etc.) will apply.
Transfer
Eligible students may transfer to the Chicago campus after completing a minimum of two years at Mumbai for undergraduate programs or one year for graduate programs, subject to academic performance, space availability, and internal review. As with the semester abroad, credits transfer seamlessly as courses are taken at the same university. Upon transfer, students pay Chicago campus tuition and fees.
