Get Ready to Fly at SOAR!
Welcome to Illinois Tech! We look forward to seeing you at SOAR, undergraduate new student orientation. During SOAR, new and incoming undergraduate students will have an opportunity to meet classmates on campus and become familiar with:
- Academic requirements and expectations
- Resources that will assist you in succeeding academically and socially at Illinois Tech
- How to navigate the technology and student services that you will use throughout your experience at Illinois Tech
- Meet with faculty, staff, and student leaders on campus
Parents and supporters are welcome to attend SOAR with their students! During SOAR, parents and supporters will have an opportunity to connect with other Scarlet Hawk families on campus and:
- Meet with our campus partners and current students to learn how to support student independence, growth and success, and how you can be a part of their college journey
- Learn about your student’s academic experience, tuition and billing, financial aid, and campus support services
- Ask questions and help your student take care of next steps so they feel prepared and ready to begin their Scarlet Hawk journey

Photo Submission for HawkCard ID
Once you register, be sure to submit your photo for your student ID. For more information, visit our online photo submission page. You must submit an approved HawkCard photo before attending SOAR this summer.
Please note: It is required for all new and incoming undergraduate students to have their HawkCard at SOAR.
