University Technology Park

About

Since welcoming our first tenants in 2005, UTP has provided space and support for nearly 60 startups that are creating jobs and opportunities in Chicago and beyond.

Every Resource Companies Need to Thrive

University Technology Park, Chicago's premier technology park, welcomed its first tenants in October 2005 and officially opened in November 2006. UTP provides more than 300,000 square feet of wet and dry lab and office space for growing companies focused on materials and life sciences, biomedical engineering, medical devices and diagnostics, green and clean technology, food safety, information technology, and many other fields.

From the day they move in, resident companies are prepared for growth through UTP’s extensive support services. These include in-house support such as conference rooms, business seminars, and access to the rich academic and research resources of Illinois Tech.

Companies benefit from access to thousands of talented students on the Illinois Tech's campus who are potential workers to help grow their business. Companies also have the opportunity to meet with potential investors and mentors. Grant-writing seminars and additional support help tenant companies compete for state and federal funding.

Our Vision

University Technology Park at Illinois Tech fosters the innovation that fuels our economy and promotes positive change in the world.
