Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions regarding the cancellation of the 2019–2020 Commencement Ceremony, which was held as a virtual live-stream event on Saturday, May 16, 2020. All students who were eligible to graduate in fall 2019, spring 2020, and summer 2020 also received updates to their university email addresses. Please email with additional questions you have.

Yes. Any student who was eligible to attend the Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2020, and paid the graduation fee will receive a refund.

Illinois Tech shared a YouTube link so that the community can watch the ceremony, where the president  conferred all degrees by college.

Commencement Opening Ceremony Live Stream

All degrees and all class credits were awarded at the end of the spring semester.

Yes. All 2019–2020 graduating students are invited to attend the May 2021 Commencement Ceremony.

A credit for the $250 graduation fee should appear on graduating student accounts for their December 2019, May 2020, or summer 2020 graduations, provided they paid this fee. If at the end of the semester the student has a credit balance, only then would the student receive a check in the mail to their home address that the university has on file.
