Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions regarding the cancellation of the 2020–2021 Commencement Ceremony, which was held as a virtual live-stream event on Saturday, May 15, 2021. All students who were eligible to graduate in fall 2020, spring 2021, and summer 2021 also received updates to their university email addresses. Please email with additional questions you have.

The university did NOT charge the graduation fee to the fall 2020 semester or the spring/summer 2021 semester graduates. 

Illinois Tech shared a YouTube link so that the community can watch the ceremony, where the president conferred all degrees by college.

All degrees and all class credits will be awarded at the end of the spring semester.

Since the university did not charge the graduation fee in the fall 2020 semester or the spring/summer 2021 semesters, graduates who would still like to purchase caps, gowns, tassels, or diploma frames are invited to do so at our upcoming virtual Graduate Salute. More information on the virtual Graduate Salute will be forthcoming.
