Student Research

Students have the opportunity to discover and explore research topics through the Armour R&D Program's two pathways—the Program for Undergraduate Research in Engineering (PURE) and Mentoring, Innovation, and Development (MIND)—as well as through student-led projects. These programs encourage students to build on their research and begin to develop innovative products, tools, or processes.

Our mission includes cross-disciplinary research through our institutes, centers, and core research competency areas. Program objectives include integrating research from other departments and disciplines at Illinois Tech, in addition to partnering with universities, government laboratories, research organizations, business organizations, and industry.

For more information, take a look at our research institutes and centers and learn more about our faculty research.
