D.5 Leave for Jury Duty

Employees who are required to serve as jurors for the State or Federal Court or who are involved in a legal matter related to their employment with the university will receive pay for the time served in court. The employee must present a jury summons or other official documentation (for cases that do not involve jury duty) to substantiate their attendance.

Employees who are subpoenaed for personal court matters must use appropriate leave time to cover the absence, with the approval of their supervisor.
