Housing Application Prepayment
New incoming students are not required to make a campus housing reservation pre-payment. Depending on your class year and college, however, students may be required to make a prepayment to reserve the room during the housing application. The Housing Application Prepayment is not an extra fee, and will be applied as a credit to the Resident’s student account for the purpose of living in campus housing during the term. Students experiencing financial hardship who find themselves unable to make the $600 prepayment can apply for a prepayment waiver by completing the Illinois Tech Residential Prepayment Waiver Application

Financial Considerations
Illinois Tech recognizes that paying for a high-quality education is a primary concern for students and their families. Providing accurate and timely housing and food rates is important to the offices of Residence Life and Financial Aid.
If you are utilizing federal financial aid to cover some or all of your housing and food charges, please contact the Office of Financial Aid to determine how your room and meal selection affects your out-of-pocket expenses.
