All staff positions must be posted on the university’s recruiting site for a minimum of five (5) business days. The university reserves the right to externally recruit for positions during the five day internal posting period. Recruitment for positions at the vice president level and above are handled by the President’s office and may not require posting on the university’s recruiting site. Likewise, temporary positions that expect to be funded for less than six (6) months do not require posting.


Human Resources is available to work with the hiring department to determine appropriate sourcing of qualified candidates, provide guidance in constructing job descriptions, conduct pre-screening interviews, provide work-related pre-employment testing and provide guidance on job offers. The university conducts pre-employment background and reference checks on all new employees, and such checks must be successfully completed prior to the new employee’s start date. Further, all employees must possess the right and provide all requisite documents as required under applicable law authorizing them to work in the United States.


Qualified internal candidates who apply within the posting deadline will be given consideration for open positions. Internal candidates who have successfully completed the six (6) month probationary period as a new employee or as an employee in a new position are eligible to apply for open positions.
