Honorific appointments can not only reward and retain our own faculty whose activities bring distinction to the university, but they can also be used to recruit scholars to Illinois Institute of Technology who have similarly excellent scholarly profiles and/or potential. Honorific appointments are critical to maintaining and enhancing the quality of our faculty who teach our students and innovate in fundamental discovery and/or translate advances to impact through their research/engagement activities.
