For birth or adoption of a child, the university will provide 10 concurrent days of paid leave to benefits eligible full- time employees. Benefits eligible part-time employees will be provided a pro-rated leave based upon hours worked. The leave must be taken within 180 days of the birth or adoption. Employees must request the leave through Human Resources. Such leave will not be drawn from the employee’s vacation, sick or personal time leave bank. The leave is independent from, but may run concurrently, with leave provided under the Family and Medical Leave Act.
