All students regardless of application deadline will be considered for our Heald and International Tuition Scholarships.
Note: Early Decision applications are binding—this means if you are accepted into Illinois Tech under our early decision deadline, you are required to withdraw all applications from other universities. If you are a first-year undergraduate applicant and Illinois Tech is your first choice university regardless of financial need, we invite you to apply under our early decision deadline.
If cost of attendance is a factor in your decision to attend Illinois Tech, we encourage you to apply under Early Action instead.
Early Deposit Benefits (Fall Entry Only)
We’re committed to the success of all Illinois Tech students! If you know that Illinois Tech is the place for you and you confirm your enrollment by March 15, you’ll receive:
- Free Illinois Tech course the summer before you begin your first year so you can start earning college credit (limited to one course in the summer term)
- Priority course registration throughout your bachelor’s degree program starting your second semester of college
- Priority housing selection
- Consideration for early admission into our Accelerated Master’s Program—Co-Term

To be reviewed for dual-admission/early acceptance programs, a supplemental application and/or interview may be required. Special scholarships may also require supplemental application materials and an on-campus interview.

All transfer students will be considered for the transfer institutional scholarship. Applications are not considered complete until official transcripts from all previously attended institutions have been submitted.
Notification for fall entry begins in January. Transcript evaluations take place after August 1. Your transcripts will not be evaluated if your completed application is not submitted by August 1.
Notification for spring entry begins in October. Transcript evaluations take place after November 1. Your transcripts will not be evaluated if your completed application is not submitted by November 1.
Fall Term
Runs from August to December. Application deadline: August 1 (domestic, including international students living in the U.S.); May 15 (International students living outside of the U.S.)
Spring Term
Runs from late January to mid-May. Application deadline: November 15
Summer Term
Runs from end of May to mid-August. Applications are due two weeks prior to the start of your course. View academic calendar.
