Application Dates and Deadlines

Illinois Tech recommends submitting your application as early as possible. Our admission staff members are here to guide you through the process and to answer any questions you and your family may have.

Please note that some merit scholarships require you to apply under a certain application deadline and may include supplemental application materials and an on-campus interview. View the selection criteria for our merit scholarships.

If you are a first-year undergraduate applicant and Illinois Tech is your first choice university, we invite you to apply to one of our early decision deadlines! We'll prioritize reading your application so we can save you a spot in our class!

Early Decision I and Early Decision II applications are binding—this means if you are accepted into Illinois Tech under one of our early decision deadlines, you are required to withdraw all applications from other universities.

Early decision I applicants will be considered for all merit scholarships offered by the institution, while early decision II applicants will receive priority consideration for merit scholarships with a deadline of January 1 and later. Students will be notified of their merit scholarship award upon admission.
