Our Mission and Vision

The mission and vision of Armour College of Engineering remains to be to prepare engineering students to be the innovators and entrepreneurs that will shape the future. Our mission includes providing cross-disciplinary research opportunities through our institutes, centers, and core research competency areas.

A diverse student body provides an environment where students can draw from each other’s unique experience to tackle problems that affect the world. In order to facilitate a collaborative educational approach, students are given the opportunity to explore topics of high priority and relevance throughout their undergraduate degrees.

Students have the opportunity to further explore topics of interest through the Armour R&D Program and additional student-led projects.

The Interprofessional Projects (IPRO) Program was developed at Illinois Tech and consists of student teams through graduate levels, representing the breadth of our university’s disciplines and professional programs that work to solve real-world problems.
