Metlife Life Insurance
IIT provides at no cost a term life insurance benefit of two times annual salary to a maximum of $500,000 through Metlife Life Insurance. An accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) policy provides additional coverage in the same amount. At age 65 the coverage level is reduced, as shown in the table below:

| 75-79 | 30% of two times annual salary |
| 85-up | 20% of two times annual salary |
