The International Year Program (IYP) runs out of the IIT Global Education Center. The program has two paths, one for undergraduate (IFY – International Freshman Year) and for graduate (IGY – International Graduate Year). The program runs for two semesters (FALL/SPRING and SPRING/SUMMER).
The International Year Program consists of two semesters of supported academic and English classes. Students will take a full course load of credit-bearing classes. Students receive “concierge” services and are set up with academic support like tutors, mentors, etc. Upon successful completion of the program, students matriculate to their 2nd year at Illinois Institute of Technology and bring with them up to 24 credits at the IFY level and up to 18 credits at the IGY level.
Our International Freshman and Graduate programs are uniquely designed to support you as you pursue a degree at Illinois Tech by improving your academic and English language levels.
