Canvas administrative access can be provided to faculty and staff who need it to support teaching and learning, and the level of access can be customized based on the individual’s responsibilities. Permissions are assigned following the principle of least privilege, meaning users receive only the specific capabilities required for their role.
To request admin access, the individual should contact supportdesk@illinoistech.edu with the signed Canvas Admin Access Agreement attached.
The Center for Learning Innovation (CLI) will review the request, determine the appropriate access level, and guide the requester through the approval and onboarding process, including a brief training session. Once completed, the approved access will be granted.
