The Fall 2026 Only housing application is open. This application is for students looking to secure housing on the Illinois Tech campus for the Fall 2026 semester.
Students may either search Housing System in the Illinois Tech Dashboard or may click here for a direct link to the housing application. Students must log in to the StarRez Housing portal (with the Student SSO option) using your Illinois Tech username and password. Please note that the housing application does require a $600 prepayment that is nonrefundable should a student choose to cancel. This is not a fee, this goes directly toward paying your total housing cost.
Please note that Illinois Tech is currently at high occupancy, all room types are subject to availability, and student preferences will be met whenever possible, but not guaranteed.

Late Departure Request Form
The Spring 2026 housing contract ends on May 10, 2026. If you need to stay past this date, you must submit a Late Departure Request Form by May 1, 2026 (late requests may not be considered).
Key Information
- Graduating students may stay until May 17 at 12 PM at no additional cost.
- The daily fee to remain in housing past May 10th or 17th is $45/day.
- We may be unable to provide extended housing past May 28, 2026.
- If approved to stay beyond the appropriate contract end date you may be required to move to a different space.
Submission of the Late Departure Form does not guarantee approval. You can expect to receive a confirmation email 48-72 hours after submitting the form.

Fall Only semester contract conversion
Third year and Above, Graduate, and single semester exchange students are eligible to apply for a Fall Only contract. Please note that students must request Fall Only contracts at the time of completing their application or before the Fall semester starts. This can be done through an email to housing@illinoistech.edu. Please note that this will potentially result in the room a student occupies for Fall being used for another student during the Spring semester.
