Fall 2024 Diploma Information

Congratulations on your achievement! Fall 2024 degrees will be conferred on Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Fall 2024 graduating students who have met their final degree requirements and all outstanding obligations to the university will receive both an electronic and paper diploma.

Diplomas will be produced after degrees are awarded and will be issued beginning on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Graduates will receive the electronic diploma first and this will initiate the mailing of the physical diploma from the vendor—Parchment. Please find more information on our Diplomas page.

To access your electronic diploma, you will follow the link in the email from Parchment and create an account. There, you can view and share your electronic diploma, as well as track the shipment of your physical diploma. Note that a signature may be required at the time of delivery of your physical diploma.

As your address in the portal may not be the address you would like your diploma sent to, we ask that you complete the Diploma Shipping Request Form by Sunday, December 8, 2024. We can ship to either a domestic or international address and recommend that you provide the location where you will be able to receive mail after graduation. Please note that we cannot issue either the electronic or physical diploma without submission of this form.

Name on Your Diploma

The name printed on your diploma will match the name in the student system of record, which is shown in your Illinois Tech Portal profile. If your name requires an update, you must submit the Personal Information Change Request Form and provide the documentation specified in the form.

Note: This does not affect Chicago-Kent College of Law students.

Enrollment and Degree Verification

Illinois Institute of Technology has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide enrollment and degree verifications.

Enrollment verifications are self-service through our secure website and may only be accessed by currently enrolled students. Lenders download these reports from the clearinghouse. If your lender does not download clearinghouse reports, you can print your enrollment verification and mail it to your lender.

Clearinghouse reports are the national standard in enrollment reports to lenders. You can be assured that your enrollment will be reported every term in a timely manner.

To obtain your enrollment verification:

  1. Log into the portal
  2. Search for "Enrollment Verification;" in the search tab click on the purple tree icon there and you will be directed to the clearinghouse website
  3. Now in the clearinghouse student self-service site page, fill in the radio button for "All enrollment" and click on the "Obtain an enrollment certificate" option
